In the 3000 metres steeplechase Jonathan Ndiku emerged victorious in a time of 8 minutes 11.64 seconds with clement Kimutai and John Koech completing the podium. More than 3000 students from Kiambu constituency were beneficiaries of a 13 million shillings bursary allocation in 2015, an increase by more than 50% on what was recorded in 2015. While speaking in Kiambu primary school where he handed over the bursary cheques to students, the area MP Jude Njomo urged all beneficiaries to make the best of the opportunity awarded to them.
At the same time Njomo trashed the recent meeting between council of governors chairman Isaac Ruto and CORD leaders over the OKOA Kenya platform, saying the country is doing well under the current leadership of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
